NatLifeCoach Day One - Philosophy of a Natural Lifestyle:
Focusing on our Physical, Social and Spiritual needs. Although we’re examining these separately, there will be lots of crossover, as they all work together for an holistic Natural Lifestyle approach to coaching wellbeing.
Physical Needs
Uncovering what our physical needs are, how our physical needs are not being honoured by our current lifestyles and how modern wellness is failing us. Focusing and integrating the NATLIFECOACH practices on how to live more naturally by drawing out the ancient wisdom of our bodies.
Social Needs
Uncovering what our social needs are and understanding exactly how if our psycho-social needs aren’t being met, we suffer. Examine the way in which our behaviours and beliefs are shaped by the people around us – our tribes of influence. (friends, family, community, and society). Our environment – and who we share it with.
Spiritual Needs
Understanding our human spiritual needs and how to apply the 5W’s: WHO, WHY, WHAT, WHERE, AND WHEN for a purposeful life. How to find a better connection to self, to others, and the Earth. Learn to hold space and ceremony to help, help others find inner peace and focus through ancestral practices, language and techniques.
Each of the three key pillars will be taught through theory and easily accessible practical exercises, activities, and techniques. And you’ll learn NATLIFECOACH “how to” foundational steps and tips to introduce a more natural way of living into your clients’ existing lifestyles.
NATLIFEMOVE DAY TWO - INTRODUCTION, THEORY & THE PRACTICE OF THE FUNDAMENTALS OF HUMAN MOVEMENT:
Rewilding feet, posture, and our capacity to move well on the ground, over the ground and above the ground. Including practices to:
Restore feet back to being foot-shaped not shoe-shaped
Restorative ground-based movements
Proprioception, bodyweight and postural awareness
Function and generalist foundational movements, including resting squats, getting up and back down from the floor, unraveling the compromised sitting posture, and improving our capacity to move well and efficiently over the ground
Contralateral crawling for neurological and neuromuscular rewiring
Balancing and jumping to improve postural awareness, strength, resilience, and confidence
Understanding kinetics and kinematics to analyse and coach more specialist practices than generalist practices such as lifting, natural running, sprinting and climbing
How to build a playful and engaging practice through coaching NatLifeMove combos
NATLIFETHERAPY DAY THREE: NATURE THERAPY; BREATHWORK, COLD WATER, SUNLIGHT AND FOREST BATHING.
Unpacking the vast benefits of Nature Therapy and how to confidently deliver these powerful practices for physical and mental health and well-being. The science, theory and practices to guide people calmly and confidently through the process of cold water therapy and nature therapy.
Including:
Sensory awakening practices for nature therapy
Breathing science, breathing mechanics, anatomy and physiology, understanding the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system, blood chemistry, the vagus nerve, and prescriptive breath work practices fusing various breathing modalities for facilitating
Integration and grounding practices for both clients and facilitators
Theory and practical processes to safely guide participants in the nature therapy practice of the Forest Bathing experience to reconnect to nature and rewild their senses directly through hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting and touching.

How to understand and communicate the influence our habitats and habits have over our Evolutionary Mechanism, Metabolism & Regulatory Systems.
Evolution of the Human diet and digestive system
Evolutionary Mechanism, Metabolism & Regulatory Systems: homeostasis, thermoregulation, thyroid and adrenal function, blood glucose regulation, insulin and insulin resistance, down regulation and the parasympathetic nervous system, digestive system, immune system, hormonal system, and endocrine system
Natural nutrition: organic versus inorganic food, cholesterol, fasting
Gut health - enzymatic system, stomach acid and the micro-biome
Sleep and rest: evolution of the equatorial ape and the circadian rhythm, influence on hormones and the impact of our modern environment on our natural sleep cycle, and how to rewild sleep habits and habitat for optimal health

Assessment and certification
The next NATLIFECOACH Level 1 training weekend will take place in Cornwall, UK, 29th June - 3rd July 2023
You will be assessed throughout the weekend in your practice technique, understanding of the theory and philosophy of the course material covered and your ability to coach other participants in the pillars of NATLIFECOACH content. If you meet the NATLIFECOACH criteria in all areas, you will be awarded the NATLIFECOACH Level 1 certification. Certification is not guaranteed upon attendance of the training weekend.
